About Me
My name is Uswa, and I am a graphic designer with a passion for UI/UX Design. After being introduced in the world of Adobe in 2020, I have developed a deep interest for the software, particularly Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. These tools have become the foundation of my creative journey, allowing me to bring my ideas to life.
Recently, I have become fully enthralled in the world of graphic design, exploring various facets such as logo design, branding, and creating illustrations. I find joy in the process of creating visually compelling and meaningful designs.
In my spare time, I enjoy art journaling, painting, and watching dramas. I am constantly inspired by the world around me; particularly florals and skies and architecture from around the globe and strive to incorporate that inspiration into my designs.
Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me and my creative journey!
Adobe Creative Retreat - May 2024
I was invited to Toronto's first-ever Adobe Creative Retreat by the Adobe team. This intriguing experience allowed me to connect with industry designers and gain invaluable insights into the design world. The portfolio review sessions and panel discussions were particularly enriching, providing useful knowledge and inspiration.
During the discussions, I thoroughly enjoyed sketching on the provided paper, which allowed me to explore and express my creative side in real-time.
It was an honour from the Humber College faculty for nominating me for this unique opportunity. Engaging with fellow students and graduates was a highlight, as we exchanged ideas and reviewed each other's work, fostering a collaborative and inspiring environment.
RAW Artists Showcase - May 2022
I attended a RAW Artists showcase in downtown Toronto where I displayed my design work. I showcased my designs and artwork which were both hand drawn and created digitally, highlighting the versatility of my abilities as a designer.
Additionally, I presented a fabric piece that I had designed using Photoshop and Illustrator. To add to the variety, I also displayed some of my embroidered work, showcasing my talent and attention to detail in both digital and traditional mediums.
This experience was incredibly rewarding, as it allowed me to connect with an appreciative audience and fellow artists, sharing the inspiration behind my creations.
